Rasha Elsayed
Islamic Head of Department & PYP ECA Coordinator
Ms. Rasha Elsayed is proud to be the head of Islamic department in elementary division at GEMS International School Al-Khail. She is originally from Egypt, but born and raised in Kuwait. Ms. Rasha has three children of her own and has previously been working in Kuwait for 6 years in an IB School as an Islamic teacher and leader.
Ms. Rasha believes that every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. They deserve the best quality education that prepares them for successful futures. As a teacher, Ms. Rasha believes she can positively influence a child's way of thinking or doing and although she can't teach every child in the world believes she can make a difference for the ones that she does teach.
Ms. Rasha believes teaching should be individualized based on interests, subjects should be integrated rather than separated, and most importantly learning should be authentic, meaningful and fun! Creating a safe and fun environment, inclusive to all students and cultures.
