STREAM Competition 2023

A GIS team participated in the 22/23 STREAM competition. The goal of the competition was to build an Amusement Park style, Rube Goldberg machine, using sustainable materials. 
Our students spent weeks planning, gathering materials and working on their contraption, which they called “The GEMStastic Carnival!”.

During the competition the GIS team really impressed the other contestants, teachers and themselves. We had some setbacks, but the team made adjustments and continuously tested the model on site to ensure it was successful. Out of 13 other teams, GIS claimed 2nd place!
The team really showed great communication and innovation during this competition and definitely represented GIS well at the competition.
